The latest cover of Rolling Stone Magazine is sporting a controversial photo featuring the stars of show True Blood.
In the cover photo, True Blood stars Stephen Moyer, Anna Pacquin, and Alexander Skarsgard are clotheless and dripping in blood. Moyer is cupping the naked breast of Pacquin.
The HBO show about vampires coming out in the open has become a cult phenomenon, often featuring its stars in seductive, sexually explicit scenes.
Moyer, who plays the vampire Bill, shares an on-screen and real life courtship with Pacquin, who plays the role of Sookie Stackhouse, a mind-reading human.
This is not the first time that Rolling Stone has featured naked celebrities on their cover, nor is it the first time that a breast is being cupped on the cover. In 1993, a topless Janet Jackson appeared on the cover of the magazine with her breasted being covered by an anonymous pair of hands.
John Lennon and Yoko Ono bared their buttocks on the cover of a 1968 cover of Rolling Stone. In a later edition, Lennon was again featured naked on the magazine’s cover hugging a clothed Ono.
A recent cover of Lady Gaga featured the shock-pop star wearing only a g-string.
