The FDA has tried to regulate the electronic cigarettes, or e cigarettes, but a federal judge has put a stop to it.
Federal District Court Judge Richard Leon ruled in favor of the electronic cigarette manufacturers, stating that the devices are “the functional equivalent of traditional cigarettes.” Cigarettes are not currently regulated by the FDA.
