Miley Cyrus will retire the Hannah Montana character in 2011

The character Hannah Montana has moments where she wishes she was just a regular girl. Miley Cyrus, who plays Hannah on the Disney’s Hannah Montana show, wishes she could just be Miley. And that may happen next year.

The Hannah Montana show will come to end after the 2011 season.

Anybody with kids under the age of 16 has witnessed the cute tweenie daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus blossom into the talented and beautiful teenage Miley Cyrus.

Rumors have swirled for a few months that Miley was leaning towards retiring the show, which is about a teen pop star that struggles to keep a balance between her famous and her private life. Disney confirmed the news to the New York Post that Hannah is finished after next season.

The season three finale is titled “Is Miley Saying Goodbye?” and will air in mid-March. The episode reflects the emotional struggles that Miley is facing, both Miley Cyrus and Miley Stewart, the character that hides her identity as Hannah Montana from friends and classmates.

Season four will continue to cover those struggles until the final episode in March 2011.

After a world tour performing as Hanna Montana, Miley Cyrus is currently enjoying new musical success with her own music and her own hair.
