Canadian officials are apologizing to travelers for special treatment given to actress Halle Berry and her family at a Montreal Airport last week.
The Academy Award winning actress, partner Gabriel Aubry, and baby Nahla were allowed to move to the head of the long security line, bypassing hundreds of upset passengers. Lines were moving slower than usual because of increased security imposed by U.S. Customs.
Berry and family whisked by other travelers and hurried through security, bypassing what may have been a one hour wait.
Canadian reporter Mariève Paradis said in her French language online blog that she was chastised by the same officer that let the Berry clan sneak by for asking if she could move ahead to catch her flight.
Montreal police inspector Jimmy Cacchione is in charge of the airport’s security said that the officer who allowed this to happen has been reprimanded. Cacchione told Access Hollywood, “The [boyfriend] of Ms Berry asked if they could go faster through the line because they were late and they had the baby. The officer took the personal initiative to allow them to go through the line faster, but that’s not something the Montreal police supports.”
Berry is best known for being the first African American actress to win an Academy Award for best leading role.

She’s hot, I think its ok for an exception to be made in this case.
