9 News found bottles like this at local stores
Tiger Woods and Gatorade have found themselves the victim of a bootlegger prank, this according to reports from 9News.com.
Gatorade bottles with labels featuring the word “Unfaithful” and a picture of Tiger Woods and wife Elin Nordegren are showing up at major grocery stores around Denver.
Gatorade has confirmed that these labels are in fact fakes and were not printed by the company.
The fake labeled bottles are reportedly appearing at Safeway and King Soopers stores. There is no word yet on how the bootleggers were able to sneak the product into the shipments.
Gatorade ended their longtime relationship with Woods in December, announcing that they would be discontinuing their Tiger Woods branded line of beverage. Gatorade was one of many corporate sponsors to give Woods the boot after a media frenzy started about his alleged affairs with more than a dozen women. AT&T announced they were separating themselves from Woods this past week.
Woods has been ducking the public since reports of the affairs began, having only made a website post apologizing to his fans for “transgressions”. The Internet has been abuzz with speculations and rumors of his whereabouts since Thanksgiving night, when the golf pro crashed his car into a tree sparking the frenzy.
