What color is your bra?
Something is happening on Facebook and it has a lot of men confused.
Friday afternoon, women started changing their Facebook status updates to strange statements like, “white”, “black”, or even “none”. Every color imaginable were popping up on friends’ statuses.
Have the ladies gone mad? No, they are just letting us know what color bra they are wearing or if they are wearing one at all.
Huh?
They are doing it for breast cancer awareness. It started with a chain letter on Facebook. The letter urged women to post what color bra they were wearing and to pass the letter on to a friend so they could do the same.
The goal of the chain letter was to raise awareness of breast cancer and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation couldn’t be happier.
“This would fall into the unprecedented category. We’ve never had a spike like this,” spokesman John Hammerley told CNN. “We don’t care if it’s a $20 million campaign or a kind of electronic chain letter asking for your bra color. It’s fun. It gets people talking, and hopefully, it will lead folks to really getting a greater awareness of something that’s going to affect one in eight American women.”
The foudation says that their Facebook fan page had 135 members on Friday morning. Just a few days later, and a few bra colors later, that fan base has grown to over 4,000 members.
It is still a mystery to the foundation who started the chain letter, but one thing is for certain, they are thankful for it.

I can’t forget when some of my male friends keep on asking about those color statuses that we had on FB. It was really fun making them think what is that all about.
